Monterrey is a misertravel favorite in Mexico.  The airport provides easy access to many other destinations in Mexico at a bargain.  If you in Monterrey for a short stay, you can go to the  two main areas and visit the main attractions by just walking in the areas of “Macroplaza” and than taking a short taxi ride to Gallerias Monterrey. 

If you not tired, put on your comfortable shoes and take a ride to Cerro de Chipinque (Chipinque Mountain).

Taxi fares, hotel lodging costs are relatively low.  Miser travel hires local taxis for round trip day trips to Cerro de Chipinquie.  The fare for the day trip is around 300MXN-500MXN.  Price varies between public taxi’s on the streets and taxi’s called from hotel reception.
