Vamos a Santiago, Chile.

Santiago is a relatively safe and modern city similar to safe cities found in Western Europe, and North America. The Andes mountain chain is really imposing in Santiago and provides really beautiful scenes from the east as you drive from north to south.

Where to stay?

Misertravel prefers to stay at the spacious apartments within the city. If this your first trip to Santiago, misertravel recommends using the map function and book a hotel of your likeness and budget in Centro.  Here you can walk to many of the cities top attractions by walking, or use the Santiago Metro.  Google maps works well with Santiago metro as well for trip planning.

What to see?

Misertravel toured the the majority of the city and you don’t need to hire a tour guide to see the best of Santiago. It cost a lot less to tour it yourself.   It’s relatively easy to tour the city by walking,  taking Teleferico Santiago and the train.  Misertravel did use the hop on hop off bus as well.  The bus was a good bargain to get an overview outside the city center if you don’t have your own car.

Visit  https://telefericosantiago.cl/ and https://www.metro.cl/home for latest operational information. You can get off Bellas Artes metro station to walk to Funicular de Santiago cable car/cogwheel to visit Cerro San Cristobal.
